Former Prime Minister Sir John Major said: "In Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee Year, I am delighted to be able to attend this 10th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony to honour the bravery and commitment of those from the Indian sub-continent, Africa and the Caribbean who volunteered to serve with the Armed Forces during the First and Second World Wars. In order to safeguard our freedom and way of life, they gave the ultimate sacrifice. We owe them and their descendants a huge debt of gratitude."
